Apple reportedly is preparing to announce an updated version of its lower-cost iPhone SE without a home button early next year.
Apple (AAPL) is reportedly preparing to launch a redesigned version of its budget-friendly iPhone SE early next year, removing the home button—the last iPhone to feature it. According to Bloomberg, the new SE will align with the modern, edge-to-edge screen design seen in Apple’s latest iPhones and will include new AI features.
This marks the first iPhone SE update since 2022, when Apple introduced 5G capabilities. The upcoming model is expected to debut in early 2025, bringing more advanced tech and design changes to the affordable smartphone.
Apple is also developing a new iPad Air, iPad Mini, and updated Mac computers, slated for release over the next year. These product updates are in line with the company’s continuous push toward innovation and customer demand.
Apple’s stock dipped 1% on Wednesday morning, following a 3% decline after Barclays expressed concerns over subdued demand for the newly released iPhone 16.
